Service
Moon Scan is a free name-screening tool operated by Moonoon Limited. It compares names you submit against a mirror of open sanctions and PEP datasets and returns an automated verdict plus an optional PDF report.
No warranty
The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Open data sources can be incomplete or delayed.
Not advice
Output from Moon Scan is not legal, compliance, tax, or regulatory advice. You remain solely responsible for customer due diligence and any decisions you make.
Accounts
Access requires signing in with Google. You must keep your account credentials secure and use the service only for lawful purposes.
Quota
Free daily scan limits apply and may change. We may throttle, suspend, or refuse use that abuses the service or harms other users.
Reports
PDF reports may be downloaded once per scan (subject to a short retry window). Reports are for your internal records; do not present them as certification by Moonoon Limited.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or circumvent access controls. Do not use the service to discriminate unlawfully or to harass individuals.
Third-party data
Screening data originates from OpenSanctions and other public sources under their respective terms. Attribution does not imply endorsement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moonoon Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the service or reliance on its output.
Changes
We may update these terms or the service at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
