Who we are
Moon Scan is operated by Moonoon Limited. Contact: hello@moonoon.hk.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google we receive your Google account email and display name. When you run a scan we store the subject type, names and aliases you submit, match results, the verdict, dataset version, and timestamps in your account history.
Why we store it
Account data authenticates you. Scan history lets you revisit past results and download a PDF report. We also enforce the daily free quota.
Cookies and session
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in after Google authentication. Essential cookies are required for the app to function.
No sale of data
We do not sell your personal data or scan history. We do not use scan contents for advertising.
Processors and infrastructure
The service runs on Vercel and Google Cloud infrastructure (including Firebase Authentication and Firestore). Screening data is mirrored from OpenSanctions. Those providers process data under their own terms as our processors or data sources.
Retention
Scan history is retained while your account remains active so you can consult past results. You may ask us to delete your account data.
Deletion requests
Email hello@moonoon.hk to request deletion of your account and associated scan history. We will action reasonable requests within a practical timeframe.
International transfers
Infrastructure providers may process data outside Hong Kong. By using the service you understand that transfers may occur as needed to operate the product.
Children
The service is intended for business and professional use, not for children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do.
